I was ever only almost 

In a world of for sure

And I could fill an ocean

With all my almost words

 

Someone almost heard me

And I was almost seen

 Almost loved and almost held

In the almost in-between

I almost made it home

And I almost got there safe

But then I almost drowned

In an almost sort of place

Now each time I almost cry

When they are almost cruel

I could almost let it go

But I am almost's fool.
